Forced Poker Break

damn this sucks, the betmost saga continues, for them to look into getting the VIP deal on my account they need me to withdraw all my funds, i happily did this until i hear back from them that it takes 4 days to process and then 4-7 days to hit the bank.

bearing in mind this is probabaly working days i am going to be pokerless for maybe 2 weeks! my financial situation is not great at the moment as the mrs is pregnant and not working so i cant really use any funds from the bank to get anything going.

and to top it off i reckon Betmost might say they are unable to supply the deal and i will be poker site less!! i looked into deals but all the good ipoker sites like William Hill, Titan, etc are no goes as i have accounts from back in the day.

so at the moment its either freerolls or maybe I might beg for a small stake

bankroll $0 +$900 sitting in Betmosts intray

Goodbye Full Tilt

so the decision was made to leave Full Tilt and try a deal elswhere, I had roughly $623 and that was withdrawn.

I had a load of Full Tilt points so I purchased a Beach Towel, a Cowboy Hat, a Polo Shirt and 2 decks of cards, my Iron man points got me a $75 tourney ticket.

come Friday I used this ticket and entered the $24k guaranteed, this was to be my highest buy-in event thus far.... I was determined to leave on a high.

I lasted maybe 20 hands. KK ran into AA.

luckily my rakeback payment came, I was expecting $30 ish but with all these purchases from the store it came to $4, however with a few drinks i had a fun night with the $4.

first i entered a $3 90 manner, finishing 7th for about $8,i then did a $7 headsup and won.... with the $15 i entered a $3 90 manner and a $12 90 manner..

i finished 4th for $72 + $8 in KO's.... not bad... the money has been withdrawn as part of the debt clearing.

the play on the new site has been good, i'm upto £596 from the £425 that i deposited, however i have run into some trouble with the deal so if they cant honour it i'll be looking for a new poker home, any suggestions?

Crash, A Break & A New Start

wel that last post was ludicrous but it showed the mindset i was in...tilt and pressure from my drunk loss Saturday spilled over and erupted, eventually i lost about $220 playing heads up Omaha, getting involved in several $100+ pots, normally drawing dead.

that was the crash.

The break is now as i have withdrawn what is left from my roll and i will despoit on a new site at the weeknd, this isnt a knee-jerk reaction, more like the final straw at frustrations over a pitiful win-rate.

I will find softer players on a different site and the rakeback is higher, you know it makes sense!!

so the plan is at the weekend to deposit $750 into my new site and start again, my figures for this year so far will be archived and to be honest even with two retarded losses this week they make good reading -

NLH Cash $338.00
PLO Cash $124.00
Tourneys $83.00
Bonuses $245.00
Rakeback $443.00
Live Poker $445.00
Staking -$8.00
Drunk Losses -$180.00
Total $1,490.00

i should not get depressed at nearly $1500 in 3 months, especially as i am a microstakes player.

moving forward i have reintstalled my Poker Tracker, i have my stats but deleted the 4 million hands i had brought from Hand Hq.com, if i go bakc to Full Tilt i still have nearly 200k worth of hands to use.

it will be nice to have a fresh PTR i can match to my poker tracker, my Full Tilt Account had been scarred by last years $600 Tilt Crashed at $3/$6.

Bankroll soon to be $750

Full Tilt Mals is a C***

just wanted it to be known that Full Tilt Mals who shortstacks Omaha headsup is a dirty little hit and runner... i played him today thought i recognised him, he stacked me and insta-quit, i followed him and he won a reasonable pot and sat out.

checking my database i played him before and he did the same thing!!

i know that the tables are rife with this but this has tilted me no end!!

Drunk Setback

Damn played a home game with the lads last night, real cheap £1 rebuy game.... even cheaper when i didnt have to rebuy and was in for £6..i eventually finished 3rd for £11 - sick life... the bloke who won rebrought 16 times and when he had a straight flush against my nut (i thought) flush he only called my big raise - saying he didnt know what to do and that he didnt want to ruin the hand! lol he eventually busted me calling a shove of 15bbs with jack queen and binking to jacks on the flop.

anyways the fun started then, i played a little poker online drunk as they were playing the headsup...i figured i would just quit when they finished.

did i fuck... i lost minimum $115 probably more as i closed the screen down as i called a shove with a straight draw on the flop.. lucky this sobered me up as i just closed the laptop and then went to bed...in fact i reckon i did close to $200, will redopsit a tiny bit to get to $900 and grind that up.... a setback indeed.. twice this year already and its only mid March.. lucky my profits have been real good but i cant sustain this happening again

bankroll $900

Full Tilt Heads up Super Turbo's

are fun!!

300 chips (10bb's) and fast blind levels.... matches take like 3 minutes.

I did 12 Omaha ones this morning as I fancied heads up but the tables were empty apart from good players!!

I did shit, especially as I lost to $15 ones when the bloke chase a flush and hit twice, think ive lost about $35 so no reason to cry although my sharkscope is gonna look bad now

bankroll $1026, really need a spin up so i can make what has been a weekly withdrawl

i just seem to stalk the heads-up tables for bums and drunks and i have to say it does reward profit but it is so unsatisfying!!

where am i gonna get my motivation from??!!

Should i Play Omaha instead?

just bumhunted the headsup tables.. lost $10 at no limit but then stacked a $20 shortstacker 4 times at Omaha... takes my omaha winnings to $200 which is mainly headsup and a little rush poker.

half the winnings ive probaly played a 100th of the hands compared to hold'em

who plays Omaha and how do you do?

last night i did a naughty and put £25 onto Paddy Power to play blackjack, luckily i won about £35 and quit. even luckier i have a deposit limit as i used to do my balls on blackjack which i may confess to at a later date.. when the winnings come through l keep them as withdrawn winnings and probably record the win as an offset to my current $140 drunk poker losses.

Embarassing Red Line

Dont think it gets much worse than this?

i think instead of analysing where im stacking off badly i need to look at where im giving up to easily.. i've had a look around and ive seen the following advice on a pokernews article as to why people have bad red lines

Some common ways players regularly hurt their redline:
Continuation betting too often or in bad spots.
Having a one-and-done approach to c-betting.
Playing the out-of-position guessing game too often.
Calling too often with draws and playing them passively (forcing you to fold when you miss).
Calling raises with weak made hands only to fold to further action.
Calling too many three-bets and folding too many flops.
Check-calling weak hands that are essentially two-pair draws.
Playing passively in three-bet pots as the aggressor.

definitely something to work on, i know multitablers are notorius for having bad red lines but i can still work on it!

Thoughts on my game

Havent really played that much this week, I did Monday Tuesday and dropped about 4 buyins over 6k hands, adding this to the poor month last month has made me question my game and think how I can improve things – I have come up with 3 problems.

Lack of Schedule / Plan

I just tend to play whenever with no real plan, I play when my daughter is running around wanting my attention, I play when my wife is sitting with me watching TV but wanting some kind of interaction – at these times I am 16 tabling with headphones on and it upsets them, or if they interrupt me I get upset!!

No more of that! I will not play big multitabling sessions when my daughter is up and I will play less on certain evenings so the mrs is kept sweet, the plan is to now play a couple of late night sessions when she goes to bed 10pm – 2am ish, hopefully the games are softer then? Can anyone comment?

Im gonna aim for 40k hands a month so basically I will plan for 10 hours a week which will fit around my family life.

Improper Use of HUD

I have a hud but all I use it for is peoples VP… I don’t use the resources available like 3bet 4bet, check raise etc. one of the guys on Raise The River has sent me his HUD layout and im gonna look into using it properly

I Need to Fold!!

I have been stacked too many times this year, a lot of times it looks like an easy fold, what im planning to do is analysis every hands that I have lost $15+ on see if I can identify leaks and in future not make the same mistake!! Ill probably put them as a blog post so you can comment to and give me you help!!

Bankroll is $850 due to a small $60 withdrawal and off course the losses, Rakeback due today and a late night Friday session planned!

Late night session over already, just won 4 buyins in 1.5k hands and im feeling a bit tired so probably best to bank the win instead of playing later when im tired?

rakeback was $50+ so bankroll back in the safezone - $1008
